Hidden costs of "the surge"

If you think it's only cranky lefties like the journalists at Salon who are worried that the US government is sending injured troops into combat in Iraq, think again. From the Army Times:

“He has a profile that says he can’t always understand orders because of his brain injury — but they’re giving him an Article 15 for disobeying orders,” Pogany said. “This kind of treatment is very pervasive across the board.”

When you fight a war on the cheap, the troops pay the price.
